From scientific point of view, Age can be defined as the amount of time an entity has passed since its creation until Now. We can calculate our ages in different ways based on our culture and tradition. But this calculator uses the most common practice to calculate the age simply by subtracting the date of birth from the present date. This gives the duration between two dates and that duration is the age of a person or thing.

Age is based on the concept of Date and time. The way of calculating the Date varies from culture to culture and region to region. Birth(Janma) : This is the first ritual a person has to do in his life which marks the beginning of the new journey in new realm. Prayers are made by the parents and the close relatives for the well being of the newly born.
Naming Ceremony(Nawaran) : In this ritual, the child is given name on the basis of the astrological calculations by priest. It is believed that the fate of a person is directly linked with the name of the person.
Thread Ceremony (Bratabandha ): In this ceremony a sacred thread is offered to the person by the priest.It is believed that when a person goes from childhood to adulthood,the thread protects him from the evil.
Marriage Ceremony : This ceremony signifies that When a person reaches adulthood he/she is ready to take the responsibility and start a new family.
Baitarni : This ritual is performed at the last stages of the life. It is believed that a person has successfully completed his/her journey in this realm and is ready to leave it.
Death (Mrityu) : This ritual is performed after the death of a person by his/her family member and close relatives. This marks the end of life in this realm.
